I am an oral or poster presenter. Do I receive any discounted conference rate?
No. Only plenary speakers, practitioner day speakers and special session speaker receive complimentary registration. Abstract presenters (whether oral or poster) pay the full registration fee of $325 USD.

Do students receive a discounted conference rate?
No. Students pay the full registration fee of $325 USD.

How do I register for the meeting?
All registrations must be completed in advance of the meeting at http://eidc2012.eventbrite.com.

My institution does not allow credit card transactions. Is there an alternate form of payment?
We can accept wire transfer/bank transfer. However, the attendee is responsible for the wire transfer/bank transfer fees above the $325 USD registration fee. Please contact Jenny Evans at jenny.blandford@uky.edu for the wire transfer/bank transfer information.  

How many Continuing Education credits are available at the conference?
The Practitioners’ Day on Sunday, Oct. 21 has been approved for 7 hours of continuing education credit by the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners. The full conference (Oct. 22-26) has been approved for 26.5 hours of continuing education credit by the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners. The CE sheets must be signed each day. All attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance at check in.

Where can I stay?

The conference is at the Hilton Lexington/Downtown Hotel. The hotel offers a discounted rate (see accommodations tab) for conference attendees.

How do I get to the Hilton Lexington/Downtown Hotel?
The Hilton offers a complimentary shuttle from the Lexington Bluegrass Airport, which runs from 6 a.m. until the last flight of the day (approximately 11 p.m.). You will need to use the courtesy phone at the airport upon your arrival to schedule a pick up. Taxis are also available. The local organizing committee will not be responsible for shuttling attendees to and from the airport.

How many accompanying persons can I bring?
There is no limit as long as the accompanying person tickets are purchased for the evening events. Please note that anyone under age 21 will not be allowed to attend the welcome reception, BBQ at Gainesway Farm or dinner at Keeneland Race Course due to alcohol being served.

Where can I obtain a copy of the proceedings?
Abstracts will be published in an online supplemental issue of the Journal of Equine Veterinary Science prior to the conference. When the link to the supplemental issue is available, it will be emailed to all attendees registered for the conference.
